Theresa Pietrowski, Owner & Artistic Director, Royal Dance Academy

As Artistic Director of Royal Dance Academy, Miss Theresa has dedicated her life to the performing arts since age three- sharing the stage with legends, shaping award-winning dancers, and building a four-generation, family-first dance studio culture. With a Master’s in Educational Leadership and 38 years at the helm, she blends artistry, excellence, and heart. Theresa’s committed to RDa philanthropy, champion training, and her mission to help every dancer grow in confidence, character, and joy!

MISS ALEXIS

Alexis started dancing at Royal Dance Academy when she was 5 years old, and became a teacher after she graduated. Dance has always been her biggest passion. She is a well-rounded teacher, having knowledge in many different styles of dance, but her favorite styles are modern and hip hop! Her favorite thing about RDA is getting to watch her students grow throughout the years. She absolutely loves her Royal Family!!

MISS BRIELLE

Brielle has been dancing for 16 years and studied dance at GCIT before earning two degrees from Stockton University in Dance and Elementary Education. She is trained extensively in ballet, modern, and jazz and brings safe dancing techniques into every class. Now entering her fourth season at RDA, Brielle also teaches first grade and loves helping young students grow in confidence, strength, and passion!

MISS CASSIE

Cassie has been dancing at RDA since age three, training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, and Hawaiian. She competed with RDA for 10 years, trained at Paul VI High School, performed in Project Dance, and danced collegiately with La Salle X-Plorettes. Cassie also holds titles including Miss Teen New Jersey 2013 and Miss West Deptford 2015. Now in her sixth season teaching at RDA, she is dedicated to helping dancers grow in confidence, technique, and artistry!

MR. CHRISTOPHER

Mr Christopher (AKA “Chrispy”) has been tapping since 2009 and spent 13 years on RDA’s competition team, earning 27 national titles, 2 international championships, and the 2019 International King of Dance crown. Trained by Stephen May, Nancy Chippendale, and many other legends, Christopher now shares his love of tap with students, teaching musicality, hard work, respect, and fun!

MISS COURTNEY

Courtney has been dancing for 11 years and loves every style of dance, especially jazz! She recently graduated from Rowan University with a degree in Inclusive Education. She loves working with dancers and helping them grow!

MISS DEANNA

Miss Deanna has been dancing since she was 11 and teaching for well over 20 years. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical and brings strong dance technique to every class. Miss Deanna loves helping young dancers grow in strength, passion, and most importantly, confidence.

MISS EMMA

Emma joined the RDA family in 2008 as a young dancer and began teaching in 2025. She has loved every second of being able to dance in this studio, and now she loves every second of teaching! She specializes in jazz but loves all styles of dance!

MISS EMILY

Emily has been a part of the RDA family for over 20 years as a competitive dancer and dance teacher. She teaches ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Emily loves working with dancers because their excitement and passion for dance always bring a smile to her face!

MISS JENNA

Jenna began dancing at age two. She has studied under professionally experienced instructors and broadened her repertoire to many genres of dance, including jazz, lyrical, ballet, and hip hop! By age 12, Jenna was dancing en-pointe. She studied under professional choreographers, including Tom Richardson, Alex Wong, Dave Scott, and more. Jenna continued to dance in college with the MSMU Performance and Competition team. She is thrilled to bring her years of experience to RDA and help dancers grow their passion for dance!

MISS JOANN

Joann began gymnastics at age ten and was competing in national competitions by age thirteen. Joann started teaching when she was fifteen and since then has taught gymnasts of all ages and levels. She has also coached five USAG Gymnastics teams. She studied Health and Physical Education at Rowan University. Throughout her 20 years in the acro world, Joann has made herself known as one of the premier acro teachers in South Jersey!

MISS JULIANNA

Jules has been dancing since the age of 2, joining her first competitive group at the age of 9. At the age of 23, she now teaches at Royal Dance Academy and dances herself at Empire Dance, South Jersey's largest high-scoring adult dance group, based in Oaklyn. She focuses her choreography on the categories of contemporary, hip hop, and jazz.

MISS LAURA

Laura is a lifelong learner and lover of all things performance. She has danced all her life, including performing on Al Albert’s Showcase and at multiple live telethons and charitable events. Her theater experience includes performances in over 40 local musicals and directing/choreographing even more! Laura loves teaching others and looks forward to doing so this year!

MISS MEGHAN

Meghan began her journey with RDA in 1989 as a young dancer. Today, she brings decades of experience to the RDA faculty, teaching both recreational classes and coaching our elite competitive teams. She specializes in jazz, musical theater, and lyrical. Meghan is known for her dynamic choreography, technical precision, and ability to help dancers find their expressive voice!

MISS MORGAN

Morgan has been dancing since the age of 7 and joined her competition team at age 10. She began teaching after graduating from GCIT in 2022 and joined the RDA family in 2025. Morgan is continuing her dance education as she minors in Dance at Rowan University. She enjoys all styles of dance, with contemporary, modern, and jazz being her favorites. Her favorite part about teaching is watching her students grow in confidence, develop skills, and discover a genuine love of dance!

MISS TERESA

Teresa has been dancing for over 18 years and has spent the past five years sharing her passion for dance with students of all ages and experience levels. She teaches ballet, jazz, tap, acro, yoga, and technique to both recreational and competitive dancers. Teresa believes that every student deserves a positive, supportive environment where they feel safe to learn, grow, and express themselves. Her class focuses on building strong technical foundations while encouraging confidence, resilience, creativity and a genuine love for dance!

MISS VICKIE

Vickie started dancing at RDA in 1989 as a young student. Now, as an instructor at RDA, she teaches ballet, jazz, tap, and lyrical with a strong focus on technique, confidence, and a love for dance. Above all, Vickie strives to create a positive, supportive environment where every dancer feels encouraged, valued, and part of the RDA family, where lifelong friendships are formed!
